<p>Just one question, when was the video where future Okabe gives the idea of steins gate to past Okabe was made. Cause based on my theory and speculation that time cannot occur. By that I mean Okabe should have never got the time to make that video due to Reading Steiner. Can anyone explain.</p>
<p>Well I haven’t seen the anime version, but at least in the visual novel it shows that Okabe did, in fact, make the message 15 years in the future, when before he supposedly ‘dies’ aka goes back to the past to give amane’s time machine a new battery. Usually the series as a whole is a bit iffy on reading Steiner specifically when Okabe himself goes back in time physically in a time machine, as well as the reading Steiner not having to activate until at least 15 years later when he would have done the actions to change timeline. I think the real question is why we are seeing Okabe in a timeline where he himself has already sent a d-mail in the future to himself, but I think that’s more for the plot, as well as maybe the timeline he’s on suggests that if he didn’t receive the message already, he would live on to make that message in 15 years.</p><p>
