<p>Well now, well now, being stuck sick at home and unable to go to work has its bright sides. I finally got a chance to look at Steins;Gate stuff again and was greeted with a nice piece of news. The English release of Steins;Gate Elite has been confirmed for February 19, 2019 and is now available for pre-order!</p><p>
</p><p>Even for English, the Nintendo Switch version will include 8-bit ADV Steins;Gate. While the PS4 and Steam versions will include Steins;Gate: Linear Bounded Phenogram. So, hoorah! We'll finally get official English translations for those last two.</p><p>
</p><p>Pre-ordering the Switch and PS4 digital version will give you a 10% discount and PS4 also includes a Steins;Gate Elite theme.</p><p>

<p>I'm not fluent, but I'm learning and can get through an anime episode or drama CD pretty alright if I'm familiar with the voices and through a manga or short story okayish with the help of a dictionary and patience. However, my studying has been stalled for almost two years now due to RL health and work taking up my time.</p><p>

I backed it on Indiegogo, because I know that the developer's methods of language learning are the methods I like best from my experience majoring in a second language in university.</p><p>-Big emphasis on proper ear training and pronunciation training, which is often hard to find in solo learner materials.</p><p>-Immersive, letting your thought process go from concept to target language, rather than constantly translating from native language, to concept, to target language. Though I love Tofugu's WaniKani's method of breaking down kanji into building blocks rather than individual strokes to memorise, WaniKani is not very immersive since you keep having to translate from English to Japanese and vice versa.</p><p>-Fluent Forever employs a similar building blocks method to remembering and writing kanji as Wanikani, but is wholly immersive in the language your learning plus pictures.</p><p>

<p>You're welcome! Please do let me know if you publish your story. I'd love to try reading it. And, yes, I agree that any story adapted to a different medium can be enjoyed as an alternate universe. Even dubs and subtitles in the same medium tend to change things from the original intention no matter how faithful they try to be. I hope you have fun writing and don't sweat others' opinions too much. There are also plenty of fans who are either anime or VN only, so making it clear at the start of the story sounds like a good idea.</p><p>I personally love both interpretations, they each have their strengths and their weaknesses in what they can explore and depict better. (I'm really quite interested in how a "fully-animated" visual novel will turn out with S;G Elite, though I will miss huke's artwork. ^^;)</p><p>

So, while he is repeating over and over the two days before Suzuha would travel to the past, he is losing his grip and finds himself thinking those things, but then pulls his mind out of it and is afraid of himself. It could maybe be a line that Okabe says before his duel with her to gain information about the IBN5100.</p><p>However, that sounds more like a line from the antagonist character 4℃, who is a thorough chuunibyou, pretends to be a fallen angel, and is pretty much in the story just for us to thoroughly dislike him. He is all about the color black, "dying" things black, making "jet black proclamations", etc. He calls Faris "Pussy" in English and, if I remember correctly, "koneko-chan" in Japanese. It can be mocking and derogatory in Japanese, but I don't think it is slang for an actual private area in that language, though I could be wrong.</p><p>In the original version of Steins;Gate, he does have the following line before he battles Faris in the RaiNet championship, "You put on the airs of a siamese cat, but with this duel today, I’ll dye that white fur of yours jet black. <p>I would caution that the tweet seemed more like a teaser to me. There has not yet been an official press announcement that production of the anime has actively begun, as far as I know. I hope we will see more of these enticing hints coming through in the next several months, though!
</p><p>However, I do find it understandable that 5pb has not been in a rush to develop and release the SG0 anime. -Just speaking about Japan- first, after announcing the anime was greenlit, they had to finish developing the story and release the VN and sell lots of it. Then half a year later, they expanded their platform availablity to Windows PC, and I imagine wanted to sell plenty of copies to the people using that. Now, they are saying that sometime this year they will be releasing the VN for Xbox One as well. EDIT: And, it's already out! Released 2/21/17.
</p><p>Not to mention, they were producing the now airing <i>Chaos;Child</i> anime -and, before that the <i>Occultic;Nine</i> anime-. They probably want to give those stories their share of the limelight, too.
</p><p>This month, they are having a big Winter Sale of the <i>Steins;Gate 0</i> and <i>Chaos;Child</i> games in Japan with some special events. Maybe at the end of the sale or perhaps after <i>Chaos;Child</i> finishes its airing run, they will drop another hint. I sure hope so. ^~^

</p><p>Small aside: My offline life has been very demanding the last several months, but I am hoping to start making some contributions here again. Boy, was I happy to find out two weeks ago that the PQube SG0 was released!
</p><p>So, since PQube has several trailer videos released, I wanted to add them to the VN's main page, but I think that page is getting rather bloated as it is now -especially for our mobile phone viewers-. There is also information about even more promo events both in Japan and that PQube held that I'd like to eventually add to the wiki. To that end, I wish to make some bigger changes to the VN's main page.
</p><p>A) I wish to make another page/sub-article -kind of like the Steins;Gate 0 - Seven Day Voice Countdown to Release page is- that is dedicated to the Promotions for Steins:Gate 0 VN. Here the Japanese trailers, and things like info about the Tokyo Game Show and Kurisu's Bday event would be moved to, and information about things like Atre and other promotional activities would be added. -Of course, this page would be linked to from the main article-
</p><p>B) The PQube trailer library would be added to the main page for the VN. And, the remaining article could then be fleshed out with more focus on the game itself, more info on the phone trigger system, the nutshell version of the plot summary, the game's reception both in Japan and abroad, etc.

<p>Hmm... Well, Valve Corporation -the company behind Steam- is located in Washinton state in the US, so it's only around 9:00hrs PDT in the morning of September 8th there. Either, they posted the wrong release date, or maybe it will come out later today.

<p>Okay, so I don't know if this deal will be available for all countries or only Japan, but according to this article (Japanese) on <i>Famitsu</i> the game will be on sale at 15% off the first week of its release as a special promotion commemorating the start of distribution through Steam!
</p><p>The article's kind of a fun read as an international fan. It explains that as part of the overseas expansion for this work, they have decided to begin distributing the game via Steam at the request of the overseas fans.
