Hello Azalea542, I am going to answer here in case others have the same questions, but I will leave a note on your Message wall.

I sympathise with your opinion. Those things are disturbing for me as well, but I love the general story so much that I do my best to skim over those lines, and I tend to fast forward through Daru's comments even while watching the anime. ^^;

On to the context:

One thing that the anime could not fully bring across, imo, was a real sense for how many endless days and years Okabe was stuck in loops. The visual novels try to show just how much that broke him at various points in the story, and one way the creators do this is by having his train of thought go down some very dark paths indeed.

In the original game, Okabe says those lines in Chapter 6B: "Metaphysics Necrosis" after being stuck in an endless cycle for a very long, long time to the point he has lost track of how many hundreds or thousands of days it's been. He's already gone through manifold attempts to try to save Mayuri, realized he needs to undo stopping Suzuha from traveling to the past, only to find out that that leads to Suzuha's death instead and is now unable to choose between letting Mayuri or Suzuha die. So, while he is repeating over and over the two days before Suzuha would travel to the past, he is losing his grip and finds himself thinking those things, but then pulls his mind out of it and is afraid of himself. If you would like to know more context, there are let's plays of that chapter on Youtube that you can watch or you can read it on

Since S;G Elite is not yet released, I can't say for sure, but I'm wondering if that line was not misinterpreted by ESRB. It might have been more literally intended or metaphorically different.

Faris likes to pretend she is a cat and participates in RaiNet Access Battler duels. It could maybe be a line that Okabe says before his duel with her to gain information about the IBN5100.

However, that sounds more like a line from the antagonist character
4℃, who is a thorough chuunibyou, pretends to be a fallen angel, and is pretty much in the story just for us to thoroughly dislike him. He is all about the color black, "dying" things black, making "jet black proclamations", etc. He calls Faris "Pussy" in English and, if I remember correctly, "koneko-chan" in Japanese. It can be mocking and derogatory in Japanese, but I don't think it is slang for an actual private area in that language, though I could be wrong.

In the original version of Steins;Gate, he does have the following line before he battles Faris in the RaiNet championship, "You put on the airs of a siamese cat, but with this duel today, I’ll dye that white fur of yours jet black. Gaia has thus whispered.” Awful, I know. x_x
