@channel is a social media platform that consists of forums and message boards where individuals can discuss various topics. It is akin to the real-world equivalent of real life 2channel. The name is a play on the keyboard key "2", as most keyboards are able to type the "@" symbol using the same key.
Perusers of the site are called "@channelers". Kurisu Makise is one of these "@channelers" and is ashamed of the fact due to the stigma of @channelers being disconnected and estranged from society and relations. Rintaro Okabe and Itaru Hashida tease Kurisu for this very reason.
