Upcoming Changes

Hello everyone! I'm sure a lot of the usual folk are excited about the upcoming release of the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel and its anime series adaptation, so it's fitting for the wiki to push for some updates to welcome the newest addition to the ever-growing Steins;Gate media.

  • The long used User Talk feature will soon be updated to the Message Wall. This has been planned a long time ago, but was shelved in favor of maintaining content during a slump in activity after the last handful of Steins;Gate movies. User Talk has outlived its purpose sadly. The Message Wall has better functionality over its predecessor, and it's going to eliminate messy layouts when discussions become longer. (Also, no need for the four-tilde signature!)
  • A switch to the…

World Line Theory, Divergence, Loops, and Kurisu's Deaths and Salvation

This blog post was written when Bazingax asked for my opinion on a conversation going on in the anime series page and my answer got too wordy. XD

Okay, I'm going to explain world lines as I understand them and for the sake of completeness of this blog post the divergence meter and number designations, how I think the first and last episodes fit together, what can be presumed to have happened in some world lines before the time loops occurred, e.g. Kurisu's death, and discuss how the change to the Steins Gate world line worked.

To be honest I have always found what Bazingax is asking about to be some of the most confusing but also most interesting parts of SG. I cannot say with surety whether I fully understand this, but I will try to give wha…

Divergence Meter Alarm Clock

Hello and stuff to anybody who may see this. I don't know really how to do this Wikia stuff, but I made a program that I'd like to share with you. The "Divergence Meter Alarm Clock Ver. 2.47", which, as you may have guessed, is an alarm clock based on the Divergence Meter. It features 13 custom alarm sounds (a few of which are placeholders until I can find something better), including 9 of the original ringtones from the Steins;Gate visual novel. It's still technically a beta, but for those who may want to check it out, the link will be provided below. It was programmed by me in Python, and used as the tool in which would teach me python, so to speak. The only current executable that was compiled is for Windows OS's, but if you are running…

Hmmm...

An interesting thought.

My assumption is that Mr. Braun is still part of the Rounders. The on of the main difference in the Steins;Gate world line is that, since the first D-mail was never sent (well, it was, but it was erased), SERN has no need to come after the lab members. Therefore, Mr. Braun, through the other Rounders, doesn't need to do any killing.

Now, if I'm wrong and Mr. Braun isn't a Rounder anymore, I can't think of a reason why the lab would still be connected to SERN. Of course, the movie might expand the story a bit, so, we will see what happens.

Just my thoughts.

Is Mr. Braun a Rounder in the Steins Gate world line?

Okay, so this is a question I am mulling over at the moment. Be forwarned of spoilers for both Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes below!

I am playing/reading through the visual novel for the first time, and I just got to the point where Daru discovers the direct optical fiber cable lines leading to SERN from Mr. Braun's shop. It is certain that it was SERN which laid the lines, and there are a few theories as to why. When I remembered that the direct line's access to the LHC was necessary in order to build the time-leap machine, I got to wondering. In the long trailer for the movie, Kurisu apparently succeeds in making and using a time-leap machine in the Steins Gate world line, which means the direct line to SERN should be present as well, right? …

I'm disappointed.

Yes. I'm sad I don't get to edit as much as I did before. School. Mother ranting something about me leaving bananas in our toaster. Oh, well. I will just give it my best today and edit all I can. I also don't want to make my brownies anymore because I've eaten the Reese chips that were meant for the brownies' toppings. I will just find some other sweets stashed in my house if it's possible that I've hidden a few somewhere.

Alright!

Everything seems to be back in order...anyways, this is just personal, but does anybody also note that, in terms of facial expressions, Kurisu looks a lot like Hibari Kyoya from Katekyo Hitman Reborn? Just a thought...

To say the least...

...This is quite odd. I feel like someone's screwing with what I've just done. Nevertheless, it must be the will of Stein's Gate! Anyway, seeing as my previous watercooler thing is gone...(or IS it?)let me just say that on www.animeseason.com, you can find episode 16 subbed. For non-premium Crunchyrollers. I just hope this gets out there...

Ah, I have a blog. Never noticed that. All right then. I already posted this in the general discussion page, so no need to repeat myself. Just about Episode 16 being released with subs for those of you who don't have Premium Crunchyroll accounts...
