The Steins;Gate series is set in a universe where multiple events happen in a single time frame. This article lists down the events that happened over the course of the story of Steins;Gate, and will try to cover all known world lines across various forms of media.

Omega Attractor Field Edit

-.275349ω [Isolated Jamais Vu] (Steins;Gate Faris Ending)Edit

  • This worldline appears in Chapter 7 of Steins;Gate.
  • Okabe has no Future Gadget Lab and is friends with Faris only. Okabe and Faris are lovers. He is a player of Rai-Net Access Battlers as Faris' partner instead.
  • Mayuri and Daru do not know of Okabe Rintaro. Daru only knows Okabe as Hououin Kyouma, his stage name as Faris Rai-Net partner.
  • Due to the non-existence of the Future Gadget Lab, SERN will not complete their time machine. However, the presence of the Divergence Meter suggests that time travel technology may emerge elsewhere.
  • This is the world line that is reached because of Faris and Okabe d-mail in order to try and save Faris father Akiha Yukitaka (instead of reverting the first Faris d-mail back in the Alpha attractor field).
  • It is implied that in this world line, Mayuri, Daru, and Kurisu are all safe. Because of this setting, and despite the fact that he just lost his dear friends, Okabe decides that this world line is not a bad one and chooses to fill the role of this world line version of himself being Faris playing partner and lover.
  • (Speculation) Suzuha might have seen or heard about the d-mail "give the IBN5100 to Okabe Rintaro" sent to Faris' father. The fact that Okabe's divergence meter exists here (which exists only in the Alpha attractor field), and is brought back by Amane Suzuha and kept in Tennouji Yuugo's house are all facts that this world line shares with the Alpha attractor field.
  • August 14, 2010: Okabe Rintarou moves to this world line from 0.409431α after Faris and Okabe send a revised D-mail to her father.
    • Okabe encounters Nae at her house when he checks the Divergence Meter, who doesn't remember him.
    • Okabe goes to the lab, finding it vacant with the PhoneWave nowhere to be found.
    • Okabe goes to May Queen Nyan-nyan, where he discovers that Mayuri no longer remembers him, Daru, and Kurisu. He also learns that the Future Gadget Laboratory does not exist. He finds Daru inside and finds out that Daru doesn't remember him.
    • Okabe tells Faris to watch over Mayuri and ensure she doesn't die. Faris eventually returns home, telling Okabe that she is alive and well.
  • August 15, 2010: The RaiNet Tournament begins. Okabe accepts that he cannot leave this worldline.

-.195284ω [Eternal Polaris] (Linear Bounded Phenogram)Edit

  • Mayuri's story.
  • Mayuri moves to Kamata after her grandmother dies. And when she moves back to Akiba, she can't remember Okabe at all.
  • If world line -.275349 shares some similar things with this world line, it could explain why Okabe is a stranger to Mayuri.

0.337337α [Ghostly Rendez-Vous] (Linear Bounded Phenogram) Edit

  • From the point of view of Suzuha.
  • This world line diverges a lot from the circumstances on how Suzuha fixes the time machine and how she discovers that Daru is her father.
  • Suzuha is hesitating over her priorities between her mission and friendship resulting in seeing two ghosting figments of herself from the Beta and an unknown peaceful world line. Thus they refer to each other as Alpha, Beta, and Omega.
  • Omega version of Suzuha is a spoiled kid living a peaceful life with no knowledge of time travel. The world line where Omega Suzuha came from is unclear. The name Omega given to her might imply that she is from Omega Attractor Field; however, since this name was pick randomly between Greek alphabet letters such as Gamma and Omega, this name may or may not have any significant meaning. Thus she could be from any peaceful world line. At the end of the story, Alpha Suzuha said to Omega that herself and Beta Suzuha are fighting hard so they can reach you which heavily imply Omega Suzuha had come from "The Steins Gate" world line which is where the True End of the main plot occurs.
  • Suzuha learns early on that Daru is her father due to Omega revealing it to her. Before going to 1975, Suzuha decides to spend some time with her dad Daru.

  • Okabe and Daru are freed early but are kept under observation by only Tennouji Yuugo and Kiryuu Moeka. (I don't know why he's back in Japan early and under little observation. He should have been released in December 2011 unless its a typo and he was released in December 2010)
  • Suzuha's time machine was confiscated, thus trapping Suzuha in 2010/2011. (This is a paradox I know. She should have been in 1975, but we have no clue what goes on in this world line).
  • Kurisu give Okabe an upgrade to the time leap machine. Her last resort to saving Mayuri. Okabe time leaps to a year ago to prevent Mayuri's death.

0.328403α [Vermilion Soteria] (Linear Bounded Phenogram) Edit

  • From the point of view of Kurisu.
  • Okabe is in distraught state and broken mentally from the multiple time-leaps and failures to save Mayuri.
  • In this world line the one to find Okabe at the bridge is Faris and her butler Kuroki, not Kurisu.
  • Kurisu ends up getting advice from Akiha Yukitaka (Faris's father) and also manages to talk to her own father, Makise Souichi. After getting advice from multiple people, Kurisu resolves to time leap to save Okabe mentally and give him advice. At this point, this is the event where it ties into the original game.

4.530806ε, 4.530805ε, 4.493624ε, 4.493623ε, 4.456442ε, 4.456441ε [Abduction Across Three Worlds] (Linear Bounded Phenogram)Edit

  • Okabe has seemingly done a time leap and is semi-amnesic.
  • He finds a mail in his phone and realizes Mayuri might have been abducted.
  • Maid cafés and the IBN5100 are present in Akibahara. Daru goes to ComiMa.
  • The future gadgets are enhanced during the magical remodel plan (demon modding).
  • Kiryuu Moeka can have normal interactions with others.
  • This story seems to have three "nods" for convergences:
    • In the first nod, Okabe finds that Mayuri might have been kidnapped. If Okabe and Kurisu follow Mayuri, she gets "taken" by a strange man in a cosplay made out of a long coat and a mask.
      • Doing so, they find that 4°C stole Mayuri's watch and is responsible for the accident that made the pizzeria close.
    • In the second nod, Okabe manages to catch Mayuri before she gets taken away. Okabe sends himself a d-mail telling the lab members to not leave the lab.
      • Mayuri makes a fire at the lab while trying to cook because the pizzeria was closed due to the accident.
    • In the third nod, Okabe sends himself a D-mail to prevent the fire, He keeps Mayuri at the lab but the "kidnapper cosplayers" come directly to the lab.
      • Okabe calls Kurisu for help in finding a way. She tells Okabe to send a D-mail but it makes the world go back to the first "nod", in a "close" worldline.
  • The world keeps converging towards the three alternative nods when Okabe tries to "save" Mayuri.
  • After finding the whole story, Okabe realizes that Mayuri was never kidnapped, the "kidnapping notice" was simply a "cut-in-parts" d-mail from Nakase Shinchi; Fubuki's brother, telling Mayuri that the watch she wanted to sell for helping to fund the lab's experiments had been returned (the watch from her grandmother). The cut-in-parts d-mail made it look threatening and Okabe's paranoia, doubled with his amnesia after time-leaping made him misunderstand the whole situation.
  • Due to Okabe's amnesia, it is not revealed why Okabe had time leaped in the first place.
