Omega Attractor Field (Ω)[]

-0.275349Ω[]

  • This world line appears in Chapter 7 of Steins;Gate.
    • The events of the Faris Ending, “Isolated Jamais Vu”, take place on this world line.
  • Okabe has no Future Gadget Lab and is friends with Faris only. Okabe and Faris are lovers. He is a player of RaiNet AccessBattlers as Faris' partner instead.
  • Mayuri and Itaru Hashida do not know of Rintaro Okabe. Itaru only knows Okabe as Hououin Kyouma, his stage name as Faris' RaiNet partner.
  • Due to the non-existence of the Future Gadget Lab, SERN will not complete their time machine. However, the presence of the Divergence Meter suggests that time travel technology may emerge elsewhere.
  • This is the world line that is reached because of Faris and Okabe's D-Mail to try to save Faris' father (instead of reverting the first Faris D-Mail back in the Alpha Attractor Field).
  • It is implied that on this worl dline, Mayuri, Itaru, and Kurisu are all safe. Because of this setting, and even though he just lost his dear friends, Okabe decides that this world line is not a bad one and chooses to fill the role of this world line version of himself being Faris playing partner and lover.
  • (Speculation) Suzuha might have seen or heard about the D-Mail "give the IBN 5100 to Rintaro Okabe" sent to Faris' father. The fact that Okabe's Divergence Meter exists here (which exists only on the Alpha Attractor Field and on at least one world line between 1% and 2%), and is brought back by Suzuha Amane and kept in Yuugo Tennouji's house are all facts that this world line shares with the Alpha Attractor Field.
  • August 14, 2010: Rintaro Okabe moves to this world line from 0.409431α after Faris and Okabe send a revised D-Mail to her father.
    • Okabe encounters Nae at her house when he checks the Divergence Meter, who does not remember him.
    • Okabe goes to the lab, finding it vacant with the PhoneWave (name subject to change) nowhere to be found.
    • Okabe goes to MayQueen+Nyan², where he discovers that Mayuri no longer remembers him, Itaru, and Kurisu. He also learns that the Future Gadget Lab does not exist. He finds Itaru inside and discovers that Itaru does not remember him.
    • Okabe tells Faris to watch over Mayuri and ensure she does not die. Faris eventually returns home, telling Okabe that she is alive and well.
  • August 15, 2010: The RaiNet Tournament begins. Okabe accepts that he cannot leave this world line.

-0.195284Ω[]

  • This world line appears during the Linear Bounded Phenogram story centered on Mayuri, “Eternal Polaris”.
  • Mayuri moves to Kamata after her grandmother dies. When she moves back to Akiba, she cannot remember Okabe at all.
  • If the world line -0.275349Ω shares some similar things with this world line, it could explain why Okabe is a stranger to Mayuri.

Alpha Attractor Field (α)[]

0.000000α[]

  • This world line appears in the manga Rebellion of the Missing Ring.
  • Between 2033 and 2036: Kayano joins the Rounders and undergoes human experimentation to fortify her body.
    • 2036: SERN researchers develop a theory on the means to transfer information to oneself across world lines similar to Rintaro Okabe's "Reading Steiner".
    • September 27: The Committee of 300, using SERN's time machine to travel back in time, practically annihilates the Valkyrie resistance group during their assassination attempt upon the Rounder commander Libron. Kayano kills Kiyotaka.
    • September to October: Kayano kills Yuki Amane. Rounders attack the Valkyrie remnant during “Operation Brynhildr”. Kayano attacks Suzuha Amane, injures Rei Mikoshiba and Shinjirou Katsuragi, and damages the FG204.
    • October to November: Kayano and Rounders' attack completely wipe out remaining members of the Valkyrie. Kayano uses SERN's time machine to pursue Suzuha Amane to 2010.

0.134891α[]

This world line appears in Steins;Gate: Escape from the Repeating Fate of Death.

0.295582α[]

  • This world line appears in the game 8-bit ADV Steins;Gate, from the point of view of Rintaro Okabe.
  • Okabe goes around Akihabara trying to get parts to fix Suzuha Amane’s time machine so she can go back to 1975 to get an IBN 5100.
  • Both before and after Suzuha reads 0.295582α off the Divergence Meter in this game, events such as sending D-Mails that change divergence take place, so this is just one of many world lines from this game, the only one whose divergence value is known. Ultimately if the player finishes the game successfully without a Game Over, the Steins Gate World Line (or a very similar one) is reached, and both Mayuri Shiina and Kurisu Makise are saved, but differently from the original game.

0.328403α[]

  • This world line appears during the Linear Bounded Phenogram story “Vemilion Soteria”, from the point of view of Kurisu.
  • Okabe is in a distraught state and broken mentally from the multiple time-leaps and failures to save Mayuri.
  • On this world line, the one to find Okabe at the bridge is Faris and her butler Kuroki, not Kurisu.
  • Kurisu ends up getting advice from Yukitaka Akiha (Faris' father) and also manages to talk to her father, Shouichi Makise. After getting advice from multiple people, Kurisu resolves to time leap to save Okabe mentally and give him advice. At this point, this is the event where it ties into the original game.

0.334581α[]

  • 2005: SERN's fourth Z-Program Experiment, a sub-project within the Committee of 300's Human Domestication Project concludes, but human experimentation continues.
  • 2011: SERN continues with human experimentation and forces Kurisu Makise to watch.
  • December 29, 2011: Okabe and Itaru Hashida are kept under Rounders observation after being freed and sent back to Japan to not disturb the world line convergence.

23rd Iteration[]

  • This iteration is estimated to be the nine leaps after he decided to continuously loop between the 11th and 13th, though Okabe believes this to be an underestimation. If his estimation is correct, this is the 23rd iteration.
  • August 11, 2010: Okabe's memories overwrite his self on the 11th.
  • August 12, 2010: At his insistence, the lab members go on a biking trip with Suzuha. He considers allowing Itaru to be hit by a truck, but Itaru evades the truck himself.

Unknown Iteration[]

0.337199α[]

  • This world line appears during the Linear Bounded Phenogram story “Dr. Jekyll Onlines”.
  • August 10th to 11th, 2011: Okabe become Alpacaman to solve many cases in Akihabara, with the help of “Mayuri”. He settles cases to try to make sure Nae gets a game.
  • August 11th to 13th, 2011: Kurisu Makise returns from SERN. She has been working there for a year now. We find out that Okabe has been in denial for a year over Mayuri's death.
  • Okabe and Itaru are freed early but are kept under observation by only Yuugo Tennouji and Moeka Kiryu. (We do not know why he is back in Japan early and under little observation. He should have been released in December 2011 unless it is a typo and he was released in December 2010)
  • Suzuha's time machine was confiscated, thus trapping Suzuha in 2010/2011. (This is a paradox I know. She should have been in 1975, but we have no clue what happens on this world line.)
  • Kurisu gives Okabe an upgrade to the Time Leap Machine, her last resort to save Mayuri. Okabe time leaps to a year ago to prevent Mayuri's death.

0.337337α[]

  • This world line appears during the Linear Bounded Phenogram story “Ghostly Rendez-Vous”, from the point of view of Suzuha.
  • This world line diverges a lot from the circumstances on how Suzuha fixes the time machine and how she discovers that Itaru is her father.
  • Suzuha is hesitating over her priorities between her mission and friendship resulting in seeing two ghosting figments of herself from Beta and Omega world lines. Thus they refer to each other as Alpha, Beta, and Omega.
  • Omega Suzuha is a spoiled kid living a peaceful life with no knowledge of time travel. The world line where Omega Suzuha came from is unclear. The name Omega given to her might imply that she is from the Omega Attractor Field; however, since this name was picked randomly between Greek alphabet letters such as Gamma (γ) or Omega (Ω), this name may or may not have any significant meaning. Thus she could be from any peaceful world line. At the end of the story, Alpha Suzuha said to Omega that she and Beta Suzuha are fighting hard so they can reach her which heavily implies Omega Suzuha came from the Steins Gate World Line, which is where the True End of the main plot occurs.
  • Alpha Suzuha learns early on that Itaru is her father due to Omega revealing it to her. Before going to 1975, she decides to spend some time with her dad.

Okabe foils a spectator's attempt to use a laser pointer to help the Viral Attackers. After Faris wins, Okabe asks her if she knows her D-Mail's contents, but she says she doesn't know.
    • They are ambushed by 4℃ and forced to hide at the former location of MayQueen+Nyan². When they discuss the maid shop, Faris remembers the shop and her D-Mail's contents. • These world lines appear during the Linear Bounded Phenogram story “Abduction Across Three Worlds”.
  • The story starts off with Okabe having just completed a time leap and being semi-amnesiac.
  • He finds an email in his phone and realizes Mayuri might have been abducted.
  • Maid cafés and the IBN 5100 are present in Akihabara. Itaru goes to ComiMa.
  • The Future Gadgets are improved during the magical remodel plan.
  • Moeka Kiryu can have normal interactions with others.
  • This story revolves around three pairs of similar world lines. Although the game refers to each pair as "World line 1", "World line 2", and "World line 3," there are several world lines in each "bundle" that have slightly different divergence values.
    • In the first world line bundle, Okabe finds that Mayuri might have been kidnapped. If Okabe and Kurisu follow Mayuri, she gets “taken” by a strange man in a cosplay made out of a long coat and a mask.
      • Doing so, they find that 4℃ stole Mayuri's watch and is responsible for the accident that made the pizzeria close.
    • In the second world line bundle, Okabe manages to catch Mayuri before she gets taken away. Okabe sends himself a D-Mail telling the lab members to not leave the lab.
      • Mayuri makes a fire at the lab while trying to cook because the pizzeria was closed due to the accident.
    • In the third world line bundle, Okabe sends himself a D-Mail to prevent the fire. He keeps Mayuri at the lab but the “kidnapper cosplayers” come directly to the lab.
      • Okabe calls Kurisu for help in finding a way. She tells Okabe to send a D-Mail but it makes the world go back to a world line that is close to the first world line.
  • The world keeps converging towards one of the three alternative world line pairs when Okabe tries to “save” Mayuri. Saving Mayuri leads Okabe to go in a cycle between the three world line bundles: saving her in the first leads to the second, the second leads to the third, and the third leads to the first.
  • After finding the whole story, Okabe realizes that Mayuri was never kidnapped, the “kidnapping notice” was simply a “cut-in-parts” D-Mail from Shinichi Nakase (Fubuki's brother), telling Mayuri that the watch she wanted to sell for helping to fund the lab's experiments had been returned (Pockety). The cut-in-parts D-Mail made it look threatening and Okabe's paranoia, doubled with his amnesia after time-leaping made him misunderstand the whole situation.
  • Due to Okabe's amnesia, it is not revealed why Okabe had time leaped at the beginning of the story.
