Steins;Gate 0 (anime)

Steins;Gate 0 (シュタインズ・ゲートゼロ Shutainzu Gēto Zero^?) is a 2018 anime television series that adapts and continues the story of the eponym visual novel. The anime is considered to be the final iteration of the Steins;Gate 0 story as it shows the way to its true ending. As with the previous series, Steins;Gate 0 was produced by White Fox and originally marketed as a 'true sequel' to Steins;Gate.

On March 28, 2015, the same day as the visual novel was announced, Chiyomaru Shikura, the executive director of MAGES., stated that the anime had already been greenlit^[1]. The anime began airing on April 12, 2018^[2], spanning 23 episodes and a special episode^[3].

The opening theme song is Fátima, sung by Kanako Itō. The ending themes are LAST GAME, sung by Zwei; World-Line, sung by Asami Imai; and Gate of Steiner, also used as the True Ending theme in the visual novel. The anime also featured several insert songs, including Amadeus, the opening theme of the visual novel; Hacking to the Gate, the opening theme of the original Steins;Gate anime adaptation; Skyclad Observer, the opening theme of the original Steins;Gate visual novel; and Lyra, an ending theme of the visual novel.

Six months have passed since Rintaro Okabe, unwilling to change the past, chose to stay in a timeline where Kurisu Makise is dead, discarding his identity as a self-proclaimed mad scientist. Suzuha Amane, the future daughter of Itaru Hashida who had traveled back in time to convince Rintaro to help her prevent World War III, has been pretending to be Daru's sister to keep her identity a secret from her future mother, Yuki Amane. As Rintaro, still traumatized over his experiences with changing world lines, continues to refuse to help Suzuha, he attends a seminar held by Professor Alexis Leskinen and his assistant Maho Hiyajo. Prior to the seminar he became shocked to find Moeka Kiryu with them. During the seminar, Alexis and Maho present Amadeus, an artificial intelligence program based on Kurisu's research before her death.

While waiting for Amadeus to load, Rintaro Okabe lashes out at a naysayer in the crowd doubting Kurisu Makise's research, earning praise from Alexis Leskinen. Maho Hiyajo then presents Amadeus, which runs an AI version of herself that was implanted with her memories four days ago, demonstrating that it is capable of its own decisions and behaves just like a human. Following the seminar, Rintaro speaks with Maho about the project, revealing that he was Kurisu's friend. Hearing about this, Leskinen and Maho invite Rintaro to converse with an Amadeus AI formed from Kurisu's memories of eight months ago prior to her death. Coming to Maho's lab, Rintaro is greeted by the Amadeus version of Kurisu, becoming surprised to find that her thoughts on time machines differ from what the original Kurisu initially said. Afterwards, Leskinen and Maho recruit Rintaro as a temporary tester, installing an app on his phone allowing him to converse with Amadeus Kurisu and provide data.
3	Protocol of the Two-sided Gospel -X-Day Protocol-	April 26, 2018
As Mayuri Shiina prepares for a Christmas party for everyone at the lab, Rintaro Okabe shows Amadeus Kurisu – who he keeps a secret from his friends – around Akihabara and the lab. On Christmas Eve, Alexis Leskinen and Maho Hiyajo end up joining Rintaro to the party, which proves to be more than a surprise when Suzuha Amane assumes it is an ambush and almost attacks Yuki Amane. While everyone else enjoys the party, Mayuri overhears Rintaro speaking happily with Amadeus Kurisu, prompting Maho to step in and remind him that the real Kurisu is still dead, inadvertently sending him into a shock.

9	Pandora of Eternal Return -Pandora's Box-	June 7, 2018
Rintaro Okabe who reunited with Kurisu Makise in α (alpha) world line, after they tryst; He who woke up at the hospital bed returned to the β (beta) world line again. It seemed like everything was back. But while Rintaro was sleeping, following the takeovers of [Kurisu], there were some disturbing incidents in their surroundings.
10	Pandora of Provable Existence -Forbidden Cubicle-	June 14, 2018
Maho Hiyajo longs for Kurisu Makise, her highly respected junior who had a brilliant brain; at the same time, she also secretly harbor a feeling of inferiority which she cannot catch up with her. In the origin of Maho, remains of Kurisu had been left behind. It was a notebook that she used and that thought is recorded.
11	Pandora of Forgotten Existence -Sealed Reliquary-	June 21, 2018
The “specialist” that Maho Hiyajo asked to help analyze Kurisu Makise's laptop was Itaru Hashida. Rintaro Okabe decides to speak the truth of the time leap machine so that Maho does not get any further deep. However, a disturbing shadow creeps in there again.

Since receiving an assault in the laboratory, no accident has occurred around Kagari Shiina. However, that memory has not returned yet. Meanwhile, she heard a song that Mayuri Shiina is humming lately. At that moment, she suddenly loses her mind.

Some fuel in the time machine still remains. If Suzuha were to wait too long to use the time machine, she would not be able to reach the day that Kurisu died because of fuel shortage. While Suzuha is preparing to leave for the past, Mayuri secretly becomes determined to help Rintaro Okabe.

It is a gunshot of an agent who wants to rob the time machine, and Mayuri falls down. A rag of appearance of a rider suit appears there. Kagari saw a figure where Mayuri fell down with blood, and suddenly attacked armed agents. Rintaro is confronted by Leskinen, who reveals himself to be a member of Stratfo who obtained knowledge of the future from Kagari.

By the special forces of major powers, the area of Akihabara turns into a battlefield, The time machine with Mayuri and Suzuha was blown up, and the two were unknown to life or death. Differences from the game[]

Unlike the Steins;Gate 0 anime, the Steins;Gate 0 anime alters the events of the original visual novel, even taking place on separate world lines from the visual novel. It combines elements from all 6 endings in order to tell a more linear story. The world lines the anime takes place on are seen as the final world lines to achieving the Steins Gate World Line and differ therefore from most of the world lines in the visual novel.

When Okabe returns to the previous wordline, no time has passed.
After returning to the Alpha Attractor Field, Okabe meets with Daru and goes to MayQueen+Nyan², where he learns about Mayuri's fate. Kurisu then meets him at Mayuri's grave. He does not return to the Beta Attractor Field until the next day.	Okabe only briefly leaves the lab at Kurisu's request, but returns shortly after.	Antinomic Dual
