Okabe and Kurisu finding each other on the Steins Gate World Line

The Steins Gate World Line is the ideal world line positioned between the Alpha and Beta Attractor Fields. This is the world line that Rintaro Okabe mentions and ultimately wants to land on throughout the story. It carries the divergence value of 1.048596%. The name Steins Gate was given to this world line by Okabe.

History[]

The history of the Steins Gate World Line is pretty much the same as the one of the Beta Attractor Field, however, one of the key differences is that Kurisu Makise doesn't die on this world line; rather, Okabe, having come back from the future, allows himself to be non-fatally stabbed in her place and tricks his past self into believing she had died. This distinction allows both Mayuri Shiina (who dies in the Alpha Attractor Field) and Kurisu Makise (who dies in the Beta Attractor Field) to both survive past August of 2010.

The other key difference on this world line, as opposed to the Beta World Lines, is that Dr. Nakabachi does not succeed in stealing Kurisu's Time Travel Thesis and bringing it to Russia. Instead, it's burned up on the plane as Mayuri's Metal Upa, that was supposed to be alongside it, had been switched out for a plastic one by Okabe, which would have otherwise set off the metal detectors and made Dr. Nakabachi put the thesis somewhere else.

Another draw of this world line is its future remain unknown for the Steins;Gate cast as World War III over the time travel thesis and SERN's dystopia are both averted on it. However, as it is demonstrated in the rest of the Science Adventure Series, the Committee of 300 is still apt to carry out various other schemes in an attempt to take control of the world on this world line.
