Hello everyone! I'm sure a lot of the usual folk are excited about the upcoming release of the Steins;Gate 0 visual novel and its anime series adaptation, so it's fitting for the wiki to push for some updates to welcome the newest addition to the ever-growing Steins;Gate media.
- The long used User Talk feature will soon be updated to the Message Wall. This has been planned a long time ago, but was shelved in favor of maintaining content during a slump in activity after the last handful of Steins;Gate movies. User Talk has outlived its purpose sadly. The Message Wall has better functionality over its predecessor, and it's going to eliminate messy layouts when discussions become longer. (Also, no need for the four-tilde signature!)
- A switch to the "newer" vertical infobox would be fully implemented on character articles. Wikia has been pushing for infoboxes that go better with the downwards flow of article content, so we're switching out the ugly horizontal infobox for one that has been made long ago but is unused in some character articles.
- New infoboxes for media to be made soon. Related to the infobox switch, there will also be new infoboxes made just for articles that focus on individual media, like the visual novel and individual entries about manga and anime adaptations.
That's actually not everything that's gonna be planned before the release of Steins;Gate 0, but feel free to make some feedback and pitch in ideas on about what the wiki needs and/or what has been overlooked all this time.
